ifteen winners of the New Zealand Prime Minister's Award have come to study Chinese law for six months at SISU’s School of Law, launching the university’s International Seminar Program on Chinese Law.
The Program consists of eight courses and a team of teachers with overseas study background, a good command of law and strong communication skills in foreign languages. The award winners, all from the University of Waikato, also will engage in planned activities with Chinese students to strengthen communication.
The Program, supported by other university departments, is designed to promote educational internationalization and cultivate foreign talents through good communication skills and sound knowledge of the Chinese law system. It also will be the foundation for the launch of a Master of Laws degree (LLM).
